A geom\u00e1tica sempre foi uma ci\u00eancia de \"verdade e precis\u00e3o\" que cont\u00e9m um conjunto de t\u00e9cnicas geogr\u00e1ficas. Mas ela evoluiu principalmente em termos t\u00e9cnicos e estrat\u00e9gicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antes de 1990, a prioridade era aprimorar a profiss\u00e3o com mapeamento automatizado, coleta de dados e mapas atualizados do territ\u00f3rio. Logo depois, a informatiza\u00e7\u00e3o do gerenciamento de terras e o funcionamento aprimorado das organiza\u00e7\u00f5es tornaram-se fundamentais para estimular o mercado a evoluir para o interc\u00e2mbio, a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o e o compartilhamento de conhecimento geogr\u00e1fico gra\u00e7as \u00e0s novas ferramentas de software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essas ferramentas criadas para melhorar o desempenho t\u00e9cnico, como a coleta e a edi\u00e7\u00e3o de dados, n\u00e3o pararam de evoluir. E com a chegada da Internet, a troca de dados ap\u00f3s o ano 2000 sofreu restri\u00e7\u00f5es legais. No entanto, os profissionais estavam subitamente enfrentando um problema relacionado \u00e0 compreens\u00e3o p\u00fablica dos dados t\u00e9cnicos e foram obrigados a trabalhar juntos para desenvolver um mapeamento comum do territ\u00f3rio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
