Den LiDAR<\/a> LiDAR-prototypen byggdes 1961 av Hughes Aircraft Company. F\u00f6retaget hade ocks\u00e5 byggt den f\u00f6rsta lasern ett \u00e5r tidigare. LiDAR-system och deras anv\u00e4ndningsomr\u00e5den blev verkligen k\u00e4nda under Apollo 15-uppdraget 1971 som anv\u00e4nde det f\u00f6r att kartl\u00e4gga m\u00e5nen. D\u00e4refter fortsatte den vetenskapliga anv\u00e4ndningen av LiDAR att utvecklas. Vetenskaplig forskning vid universitet som Stuttgart i Tyskland har bevisat systemets noggrannhet och utvecklingen av LiDAR hade bara b\u00f6rjat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mitten av 1980-talet n\u00e5dde GPS-satellitkommunikationen sin fulla kapacitet, vilket gjorde att tekniken kunde bli allt mer exakt. I b\u00f6rjan av 90-talet kunde tillverkare av laserskannrar bygga LiDAR-sensorer som kunde producera 2 000 till 25 000 pulser per sekund.

Hur fungerar LiDAR?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Modern LiDAR-teknik best\u00e5r av lasersensorer som placeras ut fr\u00e5n luften eller via b\u00e4rbara enheter, t.ex. dr\u00f6nare. N\u00e4r lasrarna riktas mot det kartlagda omr\u00e5det avger de korta ljuspulser. Dessa ljuspulser reflekteras sedan p\u00e5 de omgivande objekten och registreras.
